HealthFlow vs LabSmart
LabSmart (labsmartlis.com) is a low-priced, review-heavy pathology and radiology reporting tool built on a large programmatic-SEO footprint. It genuinely has the bigger review moat. HealthFlow is a smaller, newer platform built around three things LabSmart's public site does not show: WhatsApp delivery from the lab's own number with tracked status, a doctor-payout settlement rail instead of a tracking report, and real human support without an annual lock-in.
In short
As of July 2026, LabSmart advertises a headline price ("₹417/month"), a 5-day free trial and a large review base ("2,500+ labs," "600+ Google reviews," 4.9 rating). All genuine strengths. But that headline price is an annual commitment, not a monthly one, and LabSmart's public site describes referral-doctor tracking (a case-access portal) rather than settlement. HealthFlow's Pay-Run computes and pays out doctor commissions in one run, delivers reports from the lab's own WhatsApp number with tracked delivery status, and bills month-to-month with a 10-day free trial and no lock-in. Neither product is "better" in every dimension. See the honest section below on where LabSmart may suit a lab better.
| Dimension | HealthFlow | LabSmart |
|---|---|---|
| Price & billing commitment | ₹399 to ₹1,999/mopublic pricing, billed month-to-month, no onboarding fee, no lock-in | As of Jul 2026, headline "₹417/month" is labelled "only for your estimation" on their own pricing page. Actual billing is annual (₹4,999+GST/yr) or half-yearly, not monthly |
| Free trial | 10-day free trialon every plan, month-to-month | As of Jul 2026, a 5-day free trial is advertised sitewide |
| WhatsApp report delivery | From the lab's own numberdelivery tracked sent → delivered → read | As of Jul 2026, "WhatsApp, SMS & email lab reports" is advertised; their public site does not state whether it sends from the lab’s own number or a shared number, and we could not verify a delivery-status view |
| Doctor referral relationship | One Pay-Run settles itcommissions computed per test, WhatsApp payslip, statement, Excel export (higher plans) | As of Jul 2026, a "Doctor portal" gives referring doctors real-time case access, framed around trust; we could not find a commission-calculation or payout-settlement feature on their public site |
| White-label branding | Full re-brandletterhead, WhatsApp messages and the QR verification page (higher plans) | As of Jul 2026, report customisation (formats, logo, letterhead) is described so a lab’s own branding appears on generated reports; we could not verify re-branding of delivery messages or a patient-facing page |
| Support hours | Response within 1 business daywhite-glove onboarding: we carry in your catalogue, ranges and doctor list | As of Jul 2026, their support page lists business hours of about 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (limited on weekends), by phone and Google Meet with named staff |
| Audit trail | Append-only, DB-trigger enforcedevery report access logged | As of Jul 2026, "Activity Tracking" and "Internal Fraud Prevention" are advertised features (logging user actions); we could not verify from their public site whether this trail is tamper-evident or its retention period |
| Social proof | Sunshine Diagnosticsa HealthFlow subsidiary running its full daily operation on the platform | As of Jul 2026, their homepage states "2,500+ labs," "600+ Google reviews" and an average 4.9 rating (a genuinely strong, multi-year social-proof asset) |
LabSmart cells are dated and sourced to labsmartlis.com as crawled for our competitive-intelligence teardown (report date 19 July 2026) and re-checked directly on 29 July 2026. Where a capability could not be confirmed on their public pages, that is stated explicitly rather than assumed absent.
Where HealthFlow is stronger
The clearest gap is settlement vs. tracking on the referral side. LabSmart's homepage devotes a section to "creating a strong impression on referral doctors" via a doctor portal with real-time case access (a trust-building feature, and a real one). But as of July 2026 nothing on their public site describes computing a commission per test or actually moving money to a referrer. HealthFlow's Pay-Run does the opposite job: it computes each referrer's commission the moment a test is billed, and at period-end one run settles every referring doctor, consultant, collection centre and outside lab together, with a WhatsApp payslip, a printable statement and an Excel export for the accountant. This is on higher plans. See how the Pay-Run works.
The second gap is WhatsApp delivery mechanics. LabSmart advertises WhatsApp, SMS and email report delivery, but its public site does not say whether that WhatsApp delivery comes from the lab's own branded number or a shared/third-party number, and we could not find a delivery-status view. HealthFlow sets up a dedicated WhatsApp number carrying the lab's own name, and every report is tracked sent → delivered → read, with STOP/opt-out honoured automatically. See WhatsApp report delivery on HealthFlow.
The third is commercial terms. LabSmart's real billing is annual (or half-yearly) despite the monthly figure in its marketing; the ₹417 number is explicitly captioned "only for your estimation" on their own pricing page. HealthFlow is billed month-to-month at published prices, with a 10-day free trial, no onboarding fee and no lock-in. You can leave with your data any time you like. Full pricing is on the pricing page.
Finally, white-label branding on HealthFlow extends past the report PDF to the WhatsApp messages themselves and the patient-facing QR verification page, and the audit trail is enforced at the database level (a trigger, not just an editable activity log) with every report access logged. Both are on higher plans; see the full product page and how data is held.
Where LabSmart may be the better fit
This deserves an honest answer, because LabSmart's strengths here are real and, in one case, larger than anything HealthFlow can claim today.
- Review moat. As of July 2026, LabSmart states "2,500+ labs," "600+ Google reviews" and a 4.9 average rating on its homepage. That is a genuinely compounding, hard-to-fake trust asset built over years, and it is larger than anything a newer platform can show. If a large public review count matters more to you than anything in the table above, that is a legitimate reason to weigh LabSmart seriously.
- Named human support with a money-back guarantee. LabSmart's pricing page lists named support staff reachable by phone and Google Meet, plus a 7-day money-back guarantee alongside its 5-day free trial (a low-risk way to try the product for a lab owner who wants a person, not a portal, in the sales process).
- Imaging and radiology billing in one plan. LabSmart's "Diagnostic Center" tier bundles pathology billing with USG, X-ray, CT, MRI and ECG billing under one login (useful for a centre that runs imaging alongside pathology, which is not a configuration HealthFlow's public pricing addresses today).
- A fixed annual-prepay option. For a single small pathology-only lab comfortable committing to a year up front, LabSmart's real annual price (₹4,999 + GST/year for its Basic plan) is a fixed prepay option, unlike HealthFlow's month-to-month billing. The trade-off is the annual commitment itself, and the absence of white-label branding and doctor-referral settlement at that entry tier.
Frequently asked questions
Is LabSmart cheaper than HealthFlow?
As of July 2026, LabSmart's pricing page advertises its Basic plan at “₹417/month.” But their own page labels that figure “only for your estimation.” The plan is actually sold as an annual commitment, billed at ₹4,999 + GST/year (or ₹2,999 + GST for a half-year), not as a real month-to-month option. HealthFlow's published prices (₹399 to ₹1,999/month) are billed month-to-month with no annual lock-in, a 10-day free trial, and no onboarding fee. All published in full up front, rather than a headline monthly figure that turns out to be an annual commitment once you read the fine print.
Does LabSmart pay referring doctors automatically, the way HealthFlow's Pay-Run does?
As of July 2026, LabSmart’s public site describes a “Doctor portal” that gives referring doctors real-time access to their own cases, positioned around building trust with referrers. We could not find any commission-calculation or payout-settlement feature described on their public pages. HealthFlow computes a per-test commission as each test is billed and settles every referring doctor, consultant, collection centre and outside lab in one Pay-Run (with a WhatsApp payslip, printable statement and Excel export), and gives referring doctors their own portal login too, on higher plans.
Does LabSmart send WhatsApp reports from the lab's own number?
As of July 2026, LabSmart advertises “WhatsApp, SMS & email lab reports” as a feature, but its public site does not state whether delivery happens from the lab’s own branded WhatsApp number or a shared/third-party number, and we could not verify a delivery-status view (sent → delivered → read) on their pages. HealthFlow delivers reports from the lab’s own dedicated WhatsApp number, with each message’s status tracked through to read.
