Cholesterol & lipid profile level checker

Enter your Total, HDL, LDL and Triglycerides from a lipid profile report to see where each one falls against standard adult reference ranges, plus your Total:HDL ratio. General information only, not a diagnosis: nothing is stored or sent.

Reference ranges vary by laboratory, testing method, age and sex, and this tool uses standard adult ranges only. This is general information, not a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation or medical advice. Go by the reference range printed on your own lab report and by your doctor. Triglyceride ranges assume a fasting sample, as most labs in India take.

FAQ

What is a normal total cholesterol level?

Most labs consider total cholesterol under 200 mg/dL desirable, 200 to 239 mg/dL borderline high, and 240 mg/dL or above high. The exact cut-offs printed on your report can vary slightly by lab and method, so go by the reference range on your own report first.

What is a good HDL cholesterol level?

HDL ("good") cholesterol works the opposite way to LDL and triglycerides: higher is better. In men, under 40 mg/dL is usually flagged low; in women, under 50 mg/dL. An HDL of 60 mg/dL or above is generally considered protective.

What does the Total:HDL ratio mean?

It is total cholesterol divided by HDL. A ratio under 3.5 is generally seen as lower risk, up to about 5 as average, and above 5 as a marker some doctors watch more closely. It is one number among several: your doctor reads it alongside LDL, triglycerides and your overall history, not on its own.
