OPD queue

Stop guessing who's next in your OPD.

Most clinics run OPD on a paper token or a shouted name. HealthFlow gives your front desk a live queue: every walk-in patient moves from waiting to in-consultation to done, on the screen your reception already uses. No appointments to set up. No extra staff to run it.

Key takeaways

  • It's a walk-in queue, not appointment booking. No time slots, no calendar - a patient is added the moment they arrive.
  • Three states, visible live. Every patient sits in waiting, in-consultation or done, updated the instant reception moves them.
  • No new hardware. It runs in the browser on the phone, tablet or desktop your front desk already uses for billing.
  • Billing and the record are ready at "done." A sequential bill number and a letterhead prescription are one tap away.
  • A same-concern revisit inside 7 days isn't re-billed. HealthFlow detects the repeat visit automatically.

In short

HealthFlow's OPD queue is a live, walk-in queue for your front desk, not an appointment system. A patient is added the moment they arrive and sits in one of three states: waiting, in-consultation, done, visible to reception in real time. It replaces a paper token or a shouted name with a screen your staff already have open, so nobody has to ask "who's next?" It runs on the same devices your clinic uses for billing, so there's no new hardware and no extra person hired to run it.

Front desk, in real time

A queue that matches how a walk-in clinic actually runs.

Every OP patient sits in one of three states: waiting, in-consultation, or done. Reception adds a walk-in in seconds and the queue updates instantly, so anyone at the desk can see who's up next without checking a register or a token board.

  1. Waiting
  2. In consultation
  3. Done
  • Three states - waiting, in-consultation, done - updated live at the counter
  • Runs in the browser on the phone, tablet or desktop your front desk already uses
  • No token printer, no separate queue-management hardware to buy

No booking calendar

Built for walk-ins, not a booking calendar.

There are no time slots to configure and no calendar to keep updated. A patient walks in, reception adds them to the queue, and they're seen in order. It's a direct replacement for a paper token system - not an appointment or booking product.

  • Add a walk-in patient to the queue in a few taps - no slot, no calendar
  • Straightforward token/register replacement, sized for a genuinely walk-in clinic
  • One doctor or several: each patient's queue state is visible to your front desk

After "done"

When the consult ends, billing and the record are already there.

Moving a patient to "done" isn't the end of the trail. The visit sits on the same shared patient record your clinic and your diagnostic counter both use, ready for a bill and a prescription.

  • Bill on a sequential, fiscal-year bill number - every rupee stored as integer paise
  • Prescription printed on your own letterhead, patient and doctor identity pre-filled
  • A same-concern return visit inside 7 days is auto-detected and not re-billed

Questions

Is this an appointment booking system?

No. HealthFlow’s OP queue is a walk-in queue, not a booking calendar: there are no time slots to fill and nothing for a patient to book online. A patient is added at the front desk when they arrive and moves through waiting, in-consultation and done, in the order your clinic actually sees them. If you’re looking for online appointment booking, that isn’t part of this feature.

Do we need extra front-desk staff or new hardware to run the queue?

No. The queue runs in the browser on whatever your reception already has: a desktop, a tablet, or a phone. There’s no token printer, no separate booking staff and nothing to install. Your existing front-desk person adds walk-ins and moves patients through the queue as part of the same screen they already use for billing.

What happens once a patient’s consultation is marked done?

The visit is already on their record. Reception can raise the bill against a sequential, fiscal-year bill number, and the doctor can print a prescription on the clinic’s own letterhead with the patient’s and doctor’s details pre-filled. If the patient returns within 7 days for the same concern, HealthFlow detects it automatically and doesn’t re-bill the consultation.
