Does the report builder calculate reference ranges and abnormal flags itself, or does my team still do that by hand?
It calculates them. Reference ranges adjust automatically for the patient’s age and gender per test, derived values self-calculate from the results that feed them, and every result is flagged Low, Normal or High without anyone looking up a range table. Once a report is approved it’s locked and versioned. It prints on the lab’s own letterhead, and HealthFlow’s name never appears on it.
Where is the data actually hosted, and is it secure?
Each lab gets its own isolated PostgreSQL database, hosted in Germany (EU) in ISO 27001-certified data centres. That certification belongs to the data centre, not to HealthFlow itself. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, every report access is written to an append-only audit trail, and the system is built with India’s DPDP Act in mind. Full detail is on the security page.
